Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
since 2005
What is your primary product or service?
Nurturing integrated bodywork for your well-being.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've always been interested in this career but never took it seriously until I had logged several years in my chosen career after high school of chemical engineering. I decided to take a leap and make a change in career. It was the best thing I ever did. Being happy with what you do and feeling satisfaction in making others feel better is a very rewarding way to live.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
A teacher told my class once while I was learning this profession that "not all hands fit all bodies". This is very true. The great thing about this field is that there are so many gifted, intuitive and talented therapists out there - find one that makes you feel your best, your most comfortable and is able to see the potential in your well being. Just remember that we are human too and often the power transference of the touch makes clients think we are superhuman on some level. If you are consistently late or cancel with less than 24 hr notice etc., we can only extend so much compassion. Find a therapist that you can build a solid professional relationship with and who 'gets' you - s/he will then be best able to help you feel your best.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is my only location. No plans to expand at this time.
